Hi, I’m vera proctor.

I’m the seamstress and artist behind The Lucky Button. I’m a Conway native who’s been sewing for four years and creating since I could crawl! Because I’m a one-person show, I run things a little differently here: I believe in big ideas, bold style, and business practices that are dependable and transparent.

For me, it’s about more than just fabric and thread. It’s about helping you feel like your most authentic self through pieces that actually mean something. Whether I’m working on a custom design or a tricky alteration, my goal is to make the process easy, honest, and fun!

My Approach

The Lucky Button’s mission is to provide skilled, sewing-led creative services through clear communication and work done with care, giving clients work they can confidently plan around.

The Lucky Button aims to become the trusted, go-to sewing studio for clients who value reliability, individuality, and quality work done right.

Work done the right way

Every stitch receives full attention, with methods chosen for strength and longevity rather than speed. Work is completed with integrity; cutting corners is not part of my practice.

Honesty that builds trust

Clear communication is a foundation of trust, not a buzzword. Realistic timelines, upfront pricing, and transparency about risks or mistakes allow you to plan with confidence.

Dependability and respect

I respect your trust by delivering consistent, reliable work. While life can be unpredictable, sewing and alterations with The Lucky Button should be one less thing to worry about.
